Not far from the city center lies the beautiful Valentino river park, redesigned in the 19th century by the French landscape architect Barrillet-Dechamps.

The origin of the name of this green area is uncertain (although for some it can be traced back to the Saint of Lovers whose remains are preserved in a small church not far away), well known to Turin's enthusiasts of jogging and cycling.
